We built Kawarty II ourselves and it was launched in 2003 and started operations in 2004, although it has relatively ‘low mileage’, the engines having completed less than 4,000 hours. It has acquired an excellent reputation for reliability.
Because the yacht is extremely well built, and because we have made extensive use of marine plywood and epoxy, there has never been any damage to the hull which is always amazingly clean when the paint is scraped off. The liveaboard is presently at Suez and we have just completed some extensive maintenance. It is now in excellent condition and is ready to operate immediately. Please see below for some photos of the re-launching following some comprehensive maintenance.
Kawarty II has 10 double en suite guest cabins, plus accommodation for the crew and dive guides. It is air conditioned throughout.
The boat has twin 800hp MAN medium duty marine engines.
The specifications can be seen at Kawarty II specifications
Kawarty II is licensed to operate on the Egyptian Red Sea out of Hurghada.
The reason for the sale is that we have decided to cease scuba diving operations and in future we will concentrate on building custom yachts.
This is the best wooden liveaboard available now for sale on the Red Sea. We want to sell it as soon as possible and we have reduced our asking price significantly. We will consider any reasonable offer.
